Anastasia Jill
SWEET SORROW

There are molecules in her bones
in love with auto-mitosis.

Phosphate lips grit
against teeth to pull out
her soul, still healing;

           / stones don’t divide,
           but damn, they’ll try anyways

she says, pressing a goodnight
onto my tongue.

SYNONYMS FOR A GEODE

She was born in mountains,
pushed between argillite pelvis,
deposited into dirt
and buried like a common
hatchet.

I don’t know who dug her up.
but she limped to me.
She’s in my arms

Help me.
I don’t know how
to embrace a
supercontinent.

CRIMINAL

Molecules that make her angry:
All of them.
For sure.

Release is codeine,
I am an addict
afraid of poker chips.

She likes me this way;
red in the faces
she makes me
wear.

RIGHTEOUS SCHEME

Anger is caused by ephedrine

           /mercy, we are not physicians,

Freedom is anaphylaxis to control.

Fuck this, that, and her.

My gut is raging in revolt.

/no charity, we forge the Mohs scale
           on our hips.
